A conversation which happens once too often

“Oh so you are from-?So do you know-, from-?”

Why? No really why do you want to know? How on earth will that make a difference? Or do you want to have some sort of common meeting point, some sense of familiarity which shall make the conversation slightly easier to maintain? Are you trying to lessen the complete alienation you are feeling right now or do you, like most people, merely repeat what everyone says without even thinking about what exactly you are saying?

Or are you displaying your tremendous "name-remembering" abilities? Is that it? Impressing one and all with how many people you know and how you can so magically conjure up their names like that?

Besides even if I did know -, from - what frikkin difference would that ever make to anyone? Do you even for a second realise how completely pointless and meaningless this exchange. Might as well part ways now right, take care.
