Sometimes, not very often but just once in a while, I feel extremely sorry for the Burmese. For it is the Burmese who wakes me up for class [almost] every day, gets cussed when he does and also when he does not. In fact I was even contemplating firing him because he did not know when my classes were. The sheer incompetence!
On one side the Burmese has me and on the other there is the Thumbi. The Thumbi is one of those individuals who thoroughly enjoys playing the same song. Over and over again. No really, OVER and BLOODY over again. The man is one of those serial "Repeat mode" abusers which coupled with his powerful sound system means that one can get REAL tired of a song in a couple of days.
For some time, it was actually suggested that the Thumbi took money from rival artists to make sure that people were actually sick of a particular song. It was never conclusively proved though.
Not only does the Burmese have some not so gentile neighsbours, he also has to put with my extreme intelligence. Just the other day, for example, he made some comment on how dirty my glasses were. To which I coolly replied, "Well people have told me I lack clear vision."
I figure such sheer wit must be mighty intimidating. The poor bastard.
Coolly. Most uncomfortable with that word. It somehow just doesn't sound right. Especially when you break down the spelling. Cool-ly....cool lie....colll ly? Real annoying. Like the words "cold-blooded" for example. What kind of frikkin word is "blooded"?? Past tense of blood?
Like "I blooded you that day, dont lie okay?" or "Do you remember how long it blooded that week? Amazing no?"
Honestly you think those bone collectors could have come up with something less stupid.
Which reminds me of thirty minutes of sheer stupidity which engulfed my room and the surrounding areas a few nights ago. For a reason nearly non-existent, the Thumbi and me decided to play the same song at the same time. On full blast.
So I would enque the song, Thumbi would do the same and then we would both press "play" at the same time following a countdown.
Twenty minutes later, Larry [who was the official countdown-person] was rolling on the floor, doing the snake dance and laughing his perky ass off. And we still didn't manage to play the same song at the same time. Why?
1. Larry would arbitrarily count down from five one time and three the other. Bloody disconcerting;
2. Thumbi didn't know whether to press the play button at the "z" of "zero" or the "o";
3. Thumbi is a frikkin retard.
End this rant with a statement made in class the other day which just cracked me up,
"You all have an idealogy. You may not know it, but you DO."

laughs his heart out. off makes it seem like there's an appendage outside your body just waiting to fall off. although the image of you laughing it out of your mouth isn't much better i suppose. i would've always imagined it spelled 'thambi'. thumbi sounds like a cute digit.
You have a fan here.you so remind me of college!
